Default Bailey Dump Valves and Air Induction kits.

Is this a chav thing or is there a performance reason why people include them in there modifications?

ind kit does increase performance, and if a front mount is fitted the standard air box doesn't fit so you have to induction kit it.

dump valves, depends if you like the sound or not, no peformance increase or decrease to having one

a lot of people dont realise the simgle piston bailey dump valve will cause the car to idle roughly whereas you need the twin piston one to rectify the situation

but what even more people don't realise is that with your maf sensor Subaru equipped car it is physically impossible for any vta dumbvalve to work effeciently

Why the vendors of these things don't ever come on here and tell us how marvellous these things are then I don't know?

So dump valves lower the performance to your subaru. Why do people have them?

Just to add its the VTA dv that cause problems to MAF equipped imprezas the recirc ones are ok as they are fitted as standard

So basically everybody with a bailey dump valve fitted is a chav. My thoughts have been confirmed. Can't understand why they keep buying them though. I mean some of the owners who choose to fit them have really nice cars with other good mods, such as decat, remaps, bigger fuel injectors, better intercoolers, bigger turbo's.

Bailey dump valve just seems to crop up more than most on here without sounding sterotypical. Most people say that the standard one fitted to the car gives better performance than the aftermarket one's. If your son likes it then great. Do they make a loud noise as I have never heard one?

No I didn't. Sadly the rs turbo's have been taken over by saxo's and clio's.

i had a twin piston bailey dv26 but have recently put the standard recirc on as the car runs better without it ! (novelty worn off after about 6 months use, although i kinda miss the sound when changing gears lol but soon get over it )

induction kit will help and is as someone said essential if you have a fmic, but of course should be included in a remap for the benefit.

rs turbo over a clio or saxo anyday
its full of them round here
mainly VTR AND VTS wannabes who rip all the trim, and wheels of the better models for their 1.5 oil burners or 1.1 petrol models!
sickens me!!
only clio i would drive is a 3.0 V6 and the only saxo i would drive would be the one with the rear engine conversion from a CIVIC type R and RWD conversion, think Z cars do the conversion if i remember rightly!
no offence to people from chelmsford, my mate lives there!
