P1 v 22B import or UK.

Which one of these cars are the best I think the 22 B is the dogs dagles import or the uk version, looks more of a real rally car than the P1.
The P1 needs the arches like the 22b, why didn't Pro-drive but these arches on the p1........sad...

If I had the money a 22b due to its uniqueness. As I dont the P1 wins on practicality, value for money. Surely if your that bothered about the wheel arches you could sort some out on the P1 with your spare change?

I would love an RS 200!!

I made the comment as they are such different cars. I think every Subaru owner on here would love a 22B, that would be the ultimate. But with only 400 odd left, most just keep dreaming.

....dont we chuckster and rsquires!!!!!!!

....however a p1, now I am tempted I must admit!

scooby killer
i'm sure that in standard production trim the RS200 only had 250BHP and so is no match for the F1, however ford did an EVO version with 350BHP and verses 600BHP flame suit on...........

davyboy - see where you are coming from, but as you can now pick an 01 P1 for 28k or a 22b Uk spec for 29k, there really isn't that much difference in obtaining one - whereas an RS200 is 50k and a sierra cossie 5k so a bit of an extreme analogy I think....

Not really seeing as the P1 would be brand new and the 22b would be like 4+ years old. You can get a P1 for around £21k yet I see a 22b on the subaru site with 39k on the clock still going for £35k.

er, simple maths. Even with your figures.

22b/p1 = 35/21 = 1.67
rs200/SC = 50/5 = 10

So you can have ten cossies for your rs200 or one and a half plus mats for your scooby.

Oh, pedantic me.

Cool

the rs200 in question was an evo, but it had 640bhp to play with. when the record was set it was`nt using full boost. 2 run`s 1 timed at 3.06 ave 3.16 i think? it was an artical in max power mag on group b car`s(when the mag was quite good)
i`ll take my anorak off now
if i only had £250k:;.........

There was only 20 made out of the 200, a bit like the Rs500, 500 cars
made out of the 5000 3drs.....10%...for homologation purposes :d

Cool

P1 Fanatic
All 22b's were built between March 98 and Sept 98 and are therefore not yet 4 years old. Also only approx 50-60 22b's in the UK rather than 1000 P1's. You should be able to get a decent 22b for around 30-35K.

I think thats his lot!

In the UK at least.

Richard enjoys buying cars for other people to use and abuse.

I am hoping he will adopt me.

I also have an Impreza 2.5 Turbo

Adam .. I'm very lucky to have some good mates in the UK that look after my cars very well for me..

Only trouble is I tend to break them..

richard, I still dont understand the whole rebuild with standard internals thing.

You will have to explain that to me one day.

I was so tempted to offer you a kind of part ex. Yours was out and primed to be strengthened. It breaks my heart!
