Who on earth let the guy loose with the choice of gear ratio's on the newage STi UK cars???

What good is 150mph on the limiter in 5th gear?? Be far better having that in 6th and a smaller jump from 4th to 5th.

Whats it like compared to JDM cars?

After the demise of my WRX bugeye box I've gone for the JDM 6 speed, Bob Rawle thinks the JAP box (and dif) has much better ratio's

Hmm, I heard the JDM car are lower geared but woundered if it was the gearbox & diffs, gearboxe or diffs?

 

The 6 speed JDM box, which I also have on my car runs a 3.9 final drive with a 1.1 drop gear, the UK box has a 1.1.1 drop gear and a 3.54 final drive.
