Default help with backbox choice please

I've had my '02 gx for a month now. I absolutely love it! I know it's only a gx but i love the look of the impreza, i fell for it and thought i would start off with this to see how i got on.
I really want some more scooby noise tho and would really appreciate some help from you guys. I don't want to look an idiot at the garage and get ripped off because i'm a girl and not that technical!
I would really appreciate some help as to what to ask for and what sort of price i would be looking at.
Many thanks

Ninja2 on mine at the minute, lovley growl on tickover and then nice noise on acceleration, but not too chavvy and loud, just right.

cost me £250, took me 15mins to fit, all you need isa trolley jack and 2 axle stands and voila.

oops, didn't see it was a gx, these may or may not fit yours...

Impreza Sport (to 2000) Classic :

lol...well, didn't want to be sexist, which area are you in? theres a few in Yorkshire that will fit and stock backboxes, scoobyclinic (well...Derbyshire) and scoobybits at Rotherham are two off the top of my head.

aye jimmys on the nail there

scoobybits do their own systems, angled jap style, and im sure jase stocks them for sports. give him a call see if he can sort something out. i believe it may just be a hanger issue, although he may have something for the newage sport models too.

that or scoobyworld, again very helpful people. bought a ninja off them a couple years ago.

You really need a Borla manifold (headers) from the US of A... gets the Scooby burble going nicely.
