Who Flash's and Waves
Its reasonably well known that Subaru drivers, mostly Impreza drivers flash lights or wave at each other and if your lucky, you get both
But what does it mean to you when you get a wave or a flash of the lights?
Round here, its quite rare to get a wave or flash, its normally somebody who thought they knew you and waved back, you can tell by the expresion on their face lol.
But to me its quite a nice feeling when you get a wave or a flash (of the lights lol), its like our little gang of petrohead warriors fighting the ecobaddies.
What does it mean to you??

seems like people dont want to wave anymore.
I was actually surprised when a fellow scooby driver waved at me the other day!
I ususally flash or wave , half the time they just stare blankly at me .
Maybe its new scooby owners they havent latched on. Or maybe their just miserable little f***s.

It used to be a case all Impreza driver would give a wave but like most are saying, its become less popular.
Does anybody know where it all started from?
I remember when i was a biker, you couldn't pass another biker without a friendly nod or a wave if you were going slow

Always wave, don't always flash but in Essex nearly every single scoob wave's. Was in the car travelling along the a130 and a bloke even gave me the misses and kids thumbs up.

I do all the time when I am in my Impreza, but I do get confused when kids in their Corsa's and Rovers wave and flash at me. I sometimes wonder, is that car their daily hack? Do they have an Impreza as a weekend car?
I was coming back from Thruxton circuit a few months ago and I passed 2 Classic wagons driven by old ladies. Needless to say.....they didn't see or wave at me.

I do this all the time and round our way there are loads of "mature" people driving these ... it's then that you remember that it was voted top in caravan and camping magazine for towing that it makes sense.

Tbh when someone else waves (non impreza drivers and bikes as well) I am taken by surprise, probably the both of us moving at pace, by the time I react it's too late, we have already passed each other.
But saying that, newage drivers I find just don't respond back however I always get a nod or a wave from a classic.

No one seems to wave/flash/acknowledge any other user in Brum, have had 2 whilst ive owned mine, so i have kind of given up (that said i reacted too slow to the guy in the silver blob i saw who did the cunning raise a finger (not the middle one )
all that said if i see them clock me i will doff my cap so to speak, but still usually get the look. also did it to a couple of evo's man they didnt like that

Anyone here from Bishop Auckland remember flashing a white classic sti about 4 weeks ago?
I was heading down south from Scotland to Kent and got a flash and a wave from another sub, I waved back.
Probably a long shot but was just wondering if it was anyone that comes on here.
Cant really remember what the other sub looked like I have a memory like a sieve(sp)

Always wave its part of the fun. Unless I don't notice the other dude until its to late ("that miserable new age driver" haha). Don't flash though as some fool will probably pull out in front of me while I'm admiring the other scoob

Always flash or wave but don'y always get the same back .... but doesn't deter me .... just feel a bit if a dic- if u wave and the other driver looks at u like u need to be locked up .....
Made the wife laugh a while ago when we were driving towards Wisbech and i saw a blue scoob driving towards me .....flashed the lights .. gave the "little wave" like u do ..... then the wife says... "hmmmm you forgoten your not in the Subaru" .... ooooppps .......
Did laugh trying to imagine what the driver of the subaru thought as a bright red berlingo flashes its lights at him with an Akita hanging its head out of the back window .......

It's dying a death round here....
Except when I'm working but the waving is the nasty sort...
DunxC
P.S. I've got HID's so can't flash as they just don't work quickly enough...
