Default Possibility to order LHD in UK

Hello guys !
I’m a Belgian Scooby fanatic and after a ’04 WRX I’m now planning on buying a ’08 Sti.
With today's rates of the British Pound, it is getting interesting for us Belgians to buy in the UK. So I did some research and buying a Sti in the UK would save me about £8,000.
There is only one problem… you guys drive on the other side of the road!!!
So I was wondering if it is possible to order a LHD (left hand driven) Sti’s with UK Subaru dealers. And would it cost more? I will export the car to Belgium after arrival with the dealer. I know some years ago a Belgian Subaru dealer exported RHD Impreza’s to the UK too.
I hope somebody here can answer this question.

Thanks, Maarten

I think if you bought a new car in the UK and imported it to Belgium you would be liable for Belgium tax - so maybe the saving wouldn't be as great as £8000. I bought a RHD Impreza from Holland 8 years ago and had to pay UK VAT after I collected it.

Cheers,

Ian.

Yes, I will have to pay Belgian VAT, but I don't have to pay the UK VAT because I will export the car. I will save £8000 for sure.
The only problem is the RHD in the UK.

I have sent some e-mails to a couple of dealers in England, but they don't seem to be very interested. They don't even reply

I'll contact Vreede, maybe he can give me some advise.

Stabroek... You won't believe it, but one of the most popular bands in Belgium is from Stabroek De Fixkes!!!
