Today is the sort of day that I rarely look forward too - my Scoob is in for a service.

However, top marks to SGT in Maidenhead as they have got rid of their Justy's and I have an Impreza as a courtesy car! Much better!

Anybody here actually like the Justy at all? Or have you had a worse courtesy car?

I had one from Mill Lane, time before last. Was a brand new Bug Eye 2.0 GX, no turbo - but the brakes seemed better!!!!

I don’t know call me mad. I used to like SGT's justys. It made you appreciate the Scooby even more driving home.

I always have an Impreza (never a turbo) when mine is being serviced (Simpsons in Swindon).

andys - you're mad

I guess you got a lot for a small car - probably the only 4wd car in it's class - but they did lack the refinement of the Impreza! I also had their Charisma once, and that is a strange name for a car which appeared to be lacking charisma

Fenny Compton Garage have a 'L' Reg Impreza GL as a courtesy car though they have Justys as well. Funny thing about the GL is it seems a lot quieter inside than my Turbo...............

Cool

It is only a 1.6 but hey - don't look a gift horse in the mouth and all that. Dunno who had it last but whatever radio station they had it tuned to was very boring

I agree with andys - I loathe the justy I used to get from SGT, but you realise just how fantastic the scoob is as soon as you get in it and start it up/

Expanding on what wannabe said, haven't noticed that no matter what courtesy car you get the radio station is ALWAYS tuned to something absolutely crap? Always makes me think the last person that had it was double my age

Just dropped my car off at Simpsons to get the piston slap sorted.

Gave me a YRV, feels like i'm driving a van. Still, will appreciate the Scoob when i get it back.

Iain

PS, do they never leave fuel in them??

First garage I used gave me a f*cking corsa!!! Biggest pile of
**** ever. Even worse than the Gfs cinquecento!

Current garage have given me a WRX after I insisted on having something at least equivalent to my impreza turbo. Gotta use it for business you know.

Previous Saab garage always had a demonstrator waiting for me at 7:30am whenever I went for a service. Brilliant!

A & J Whytes (Blackburn) give out Clio's. Makes you realise why we have a 70mph speed limit on the motorway and rumour has it that Renault are investigating how to make it feel like the steering is connected to the front wheels although they've not come up with a solution so far.

Horrible horrible little French sh1tboxes.

Regards,

tiggers

When I got a car from Adams I got a 2.0 Legacy, not bad apart from the lack of power, after the 01 WRX.

At least I didnt get the Justy... the reason... they had just sold it!

I dodn't get the UK300 because the miles I was going to do!

I got a WRX 1.6 Waggon from Adams last time.

New but it just didn't want to go.

The worst courtesy car I have driven (if you can call it a car) is a fiat punto.
I couldn't find anything on the car that I didn't hate, complete insult to the motor world.

Worst courtesy car.
Wait for it.
The new mini.
Flame red 1.6, what a waste of metal.
Small and nippy, but just looks crappy, too much plastic, they're trying to make an old car hip, just not working.

Tiley in Bristol have just bought some WRXs for use as courtesy cars. Catch is a £10 'administration' fee; or you can take one of their old Justy's for free...

Last time I had one I ended up with a Legacy Estate, sure made me appreciate my impreza when I picked it back up

Also had a Vetra 1.8 SRI when my previous car (an almera) got written off in a head on, funnily enough after watching most of the almera's lengthy bonnet get crushed I decided the hire companies Corsa they offered wasn't exactly the thing I wanted to be in and paid to upgrade to the Vectra.

Used to get an old shape justy with selectable 4WD and no back diff! Didn't find that out until I tried doing a 3-point turn with it in 4wd, it didn't half scrub the tyres!! Last time they gave me a bugeye TS wagon, and their GX demo the time before that.

Worst cortesy car was a old F reg Nissan Micra with a 'Caramac' interior. What a pile of S**t.How the hell it passed an MOT, I'll never know.(from a now defunct Manchester dealer)

Best one so far is a L reg Impreza GL!! (at least it's got the Garages name plastered all over it; 'Farmer's' in Matlock).

I'm obviously the biggest mug on Earth.

2 stick in my mind.

One a few years ago when my Elise was in for some warranty work (like it ever wasn't) and was given an E reg 1.0L Metro with 80k on the clock - nice.

A few weeks ago when the P1 was in I got a K reg Renault Clio 1.2. also nice. And the cheeky sods thought I should insure it - like it was worth the bother of a phone call when I was 3rd party on it anyway.....

Red face

How bad is this. Whilst the impreza is being fixed after an accident, the 3rd party insurance agreed to hire a car for me. They spoke to enterprise to hire a similar car and hired me ......

a 2.2 VECTRA .... surely somebody was taking the p!5s

Carstins give out fiat puntos which is bad enough, and they charge for the mileage you do in it!

My MY95 was in for a minor service and I was given an Impreza Sport Special PPP

GOD how I missed my turbo!!! Even with the PPP it was still slow..... having said that, the exhaust burble was rather nice ....

Dan

PS the dealer was Listers in Worcester..... highly recommended (no connection, just good service )

Unhappy

When our scoob went in for service we got a ...wait for it,...a...
JUSTY!

Not any Justy, the one they kept under the trees, the one with spiders inside, the one with 0.003 of a litre of petrol in

Oh well, at least we didn't have to walk up and down the high street for five hours like last time!!!

Me thinks when the warranty expires I might look around!

Cheers Moles Dad.
