had them on a calibra, then an ax gt and a 306 gti-6. i was always happy with them (plus garage down the road often did a "2 for 1" on pirellis - 1 overpriced and the other "free", but always cheaper than buying 2 elsewhere). never had them on an impreza though

Used to have them on my old Primera - as recommended by Nissan and I thought they were pretty OK as was the Primera. P6000's are fine for the Primera but again never heard of them ever fitted to a Subaru. Would say are probably not an ideal choice of tyre for an Impreza. Maybe someone somewhere reading this has tried them and could give an opinion with some authority?

Tyres are different and have a huge impact on handling etc. - and the 'wrong choice' can make a massive difference. Goodyear GSD1's (which I like) and Potenza's (which I don't) are among a range of tyres cited as suitable choices for Impreza's. It depends on the car and it's it's down to your personal choice and gut feeling as to whether the tyres feel right. If you are happy with the P6000's on your Impreza, that is great news - they are good quality tyres fitted as standard (or a least used to be) on many premium brand cars.

they are slippy and dangerous for bends i would never ever put them on an impreza especially if you corner at speeds, just not enough grip, they are too flat and smooth
good for normal cars though and normal driving

Had them on my RX7 and the were just too hard, in the dry they were amazing but you have to really warm them up to get them working but very durable.
In the wet I lost confidence in the tyres, probably get too cold to work properly

DON'T DO IT
I didn't realise how CRAP P6000's were until I swapped them for F1 GSD3's. I'm convinced they were a significant contribution to me crashing my Scooby, along with it being 1:30 AM and having just done 17 hour day at work. Squealed like Starsky & Hutch in the dry, pants when the roads were cold, damp or both. I will NEVER put P6000's on any vehicle I own.

I have P6000's on my 'dry car' which only comes out on nice days. Brilliant on hot sticky tarmac. Wouldn't want to get involved with them on a cold wet day though. As a rule of thumb, if they are good for 30k miles, they wont like corners!!

oh well seems they suit me down to the ground as I DO NOT DRIVE fast! The occasional straight line bit of acceleration on an overtake but no high speed cornering.Driving down some nice twisty roads yesterday and had confidence in the car, 10 times better than potenzas which I had on( they only had a few mm left on)

My current car has the standard Bridgestones on, when they're due for replacement, I'll be going for F1' or possibly Vredestein sultana's or whatever they're called

Seriously save your money clarkie and it could come handy running the car or modifications. Unless you are doing laps around a race track they are perfectly fine, i went for them as i had a set on a fwd car and was very impressed with them period so i got the same for my impreza.

P6000 is your typical Pirelli; Good in warm/dry, iffy in cold and wet.
P6000 are the base model sports tyre anyway not really suited for high performance cars or enthustastic driving; Fine in dry, ok in wet - but not fanatstic. Stick them on a 2.0 Focus shopping car or a Mondeo rep mobile, but not on anything else more potent. Or if your driving style never amounts to anything over general daily rush hour commuting.
Rossos: Superb in the warm and dry. But beware of them in the cold and damp. They need some heat in them before they grip properly. Vauxhall should give a warning to UK drivers when using a Monaro when its cold and wet - Rossos were the OE tyre . It was never an issue when Conti-Sport Contact 3s were fitted.
