I had a RCM backbox on for while, excellent quality but far too loud for me.
I`m used to something a bit more subtle and stuck my Prodrive box back on

well....it's quite but can be heard when driven in anger, plus you can hear all sorts of stuff going on through the system, turbo spool and the like....

The biggest issue i hate about my Scoob is the crass sound from the Blitz DV which is going very soon.....

I considered a RCM backbox for my WRX, I phoned them up and they wanted £430 for the backbox fitted. I declined and went to Revolution and got a cat-back system for considerably less. They do look nice though.

Consider this if you are looking for a performance exhaust that isn't overly loud: Impreza Turbo 2006-2007 : Subaru Impreza Racebox Performance Exhaust System

I had a full de-cat RCM system on my last scoob (03MY wrx ), was loud at revs but a lovely deep burble at tickover. When you really give it some it sounds like what can only be described as a HOWL !! Gorgeous. Very much recommended.
