You do not need an SVA. Mine is on a P and it didnt have to be done when it came into the country as its over ten years old (think the limits ten).

Basically the guys talking **** especially if its already had an MOT. Every year I have to fit a rear fog light for the test, cable is already run under the carpet and switch fitted but i hate the look of them on the **** end of the car so remove it staright after.

Hope this helps.

Definitive answer: only if the cars is less than ten years old. Good advice: find a new MOT garage, the man is a fool.

Ditto the above &:

You say it is an N reg so it has already been registered You won't need a SVA unless it has had radical chassis mods (it's not a stretched limo, hearse or armoured car is it?).

You need to have an SVA test to get an import under 10 years old registered in the UK.

If your car has a V5, you don't need an SVA.

As above, the MoT guy is a complete fool!
