Was driving home from work when i lost a lot of power and a huge wooshing sound coming from under the bonnet. I tracked this leak to the pipe which connects the intercooler to the intake system. I undid the jubilee clip and pushed the pipe back on fully and tightened back down. Am not convinced this wont happen again as the pipe seems a bit short to me!? Anyone else find this happens? Recommended upgraded pipe work?

Common problem if you run increased boost. Try and get good quality (uprated if possible) jubilee clips to help clamp the hose on tighter.

 

I am indeed running higher boost thanks to a certain mr forrest! lol. Is there a kit i can by from hks or the like which would contain an upgraded/longer pipe!? Anyone know what size of jubilee clip to get and where from?

Replaced mine with a Samco one, when mine blew apart. Never had any probs again.
