Default wind problem

Hi ive owned my gb270 for about 3 months now, finally got it run in but when i get to 90-100mph i get a loud wind noise creeping through the drivers window near the rubber seal. Has anyone experienced this. Not a happy bunny.

It's a "characteristic" of all new-age Imprezas as far as I can tell - its not just you!

I have a wind noise through my passenger window, through the seal. Which is quite interesting with passengers as they tend to look and find the noise.
Ive just got used to it.

Default Wind Noise

Yep get this on my 54 reg wagon above 60mph.

I just drop the window an inch and put it back up and problem solved.
I don't find it annoying I just do it automatically now.

My old 99 classic did the same from new and was never sorted out completely.

standard on all imprezas lol its due to the fact of having no door sills/window runners

Hi, quick thought for you guys I had the same problem but as it happens i work for VW, and the VW EOS as the same type of frame-less doors and we use a lubricant called Krytox to lubricate the seals, I use it on my Scoob and it keeps the seals very subtle and helps a great deal with wind noise (the one form the car lol). You can either get it in spray or a super glue type bottle depending on how often you'll use it. Hope this helps.

Also put the window fully up with the door open, and then close the door (not whilst on the motorway obviously!). Helps it seal better

Krytox is not too badly priced from VW in spray form, in the bottle form it is quite expensive but does last a while, try nipping into yr locally VW dealer and just mention wind noise and EOS and the Krytox will be on the counter faster than yr 0-60 time. ;-)
