Default moving scooby

hi

need to move my scooby from hinkley to leicester this weekend

it ran out of tax and mot yesterday

can anyone help

Book it in for mot in leicester make sure you get it there and have it tested. This is your only legal way other than using a trailer. This way your covered by the law to drive it.

Legally, you shouldn't drive it on the road without tax and MoT. You ARE allowed to drive it to an MoT test station (with prior appointment and make sure they have your name and reg no.). So you could book it into a test station near to where you live in Leicester and drive it there.......

so if i buy the car on friday from mate in hinkley and have booked it in for mot near my house in leicester then i am ok to drive it ???

As long as you are insured yes. Try not to go too fast down the m69 tho

yes insured , and it will be my second scooby on the drive ....lol

the one am collecting was a steel and will be up for sale or breaking

Not meaning to be unhelpful - but I'm pretty sure that whilst you can drive to an pre-booked MOT (and you can drive it home if it fails too I think....) - You MUST have it taxed...

Ive been stopped twice driving my car to mot witout tax and mot BUT it was booked in they phoned the garage there and then i was on my way.
