Default Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! car dead !!!!!!!!

please people i am about to blow up, scrap, sell up,

i am loosing the will with subaru ownership, i have been sold a dog from the start and dont think i will be buying another from scoobynet,

i have already spent 1500ish quid on this car putting it right, things not fitted right, poor poor map over fueling, bore washing using as much fuel as having foot to the floor in 3rd, 4th at 2000rpm, and now its gone again but this time.......

Basically over the last few weeks i have been having issues with the AVCR it has been cutting out whilst driving or not coming on when started? when this happens i have been loosing all power the car would drop down to the standard boost setting 0.8 bar and would not boost any higher is there a reason for this? and why is it doing it?, on a couple of occasions it has just come back on after a few min of driving or a few mins of cutting out, and if it has not come on before i have stopped when i have parked up i have pulled the carpet up removed the metal plate, and pulled the plug out and put it back in again and 99% of the time switched the ignition on and the AVCR is back on, so taken the car out and the car is running fine and boosting to 1.4 bar as normal.

then this happened on sunday. Drove my brother down town and no AVCR so when i dropped him off i pulled back the carpet and squeezed my fingers in between the gap and wiggled the AVCR connector plug and the screen came on drove back home and car was running and boosting fine, all good i thought but (must call or speak to bob about this before i go and see him next week) got home pulled up switched off and went in. went to go out 15 min later, so got in car and again no AVCR screen so again pulled back carpet felt the wire pulled it out pushed it in but nothing, went to start car and nothing it is doing what it did when i broke down, just firing up and hitting 1500 rpm then as it drops to idle it cuts out. as i had to go out i left it came back to it a few hours later, tried with desperation pulling cable out and in still no screen and now no Power FC Commander, turning over firing up to 1500 rpm then cutting out, desperation kicking in more tried again AVCR and PFC C coming on car firing up then cutting out, more desperation fire up give it gas and it wants to go, try again bit more gas and it ran, but like a bag of bolts, let foot off gas and cut out, fire again again lots of gas its running fires up to 1500 rpm drops down to nothing but just before cut out comes up 200, 300 400 holds at 500 rpm, blip gas 1500 rpm-2000 rpm drops to idle and cut out, so fire it up again bit of gas and again it holds at 500 rpm so i leave it after a minute it starts to go up 600, 700, 800, 900 and sits about 1k mark ish, but as soon as you touch the gas pedal it obviously rises then either cuts out or drops right down to 50-100 rpm and starts the rising thing again holding at 500 then creeping up,

noticed cars oil pressure being about 7.0 bar not sure if this is high or not?
has the APEXI given up or giving up?

car is back off the road untill i get this sorted, please has anyone got an idea what maybe wrong

thanks

steve

Sounds like a fuel pump issue
