hi can anyone help me i have owned my wrx for about 3 months i was on the motorway and i heard a noise from the engine it sounded like a loose belt so i pulled over and checked it while running. the belts seemed fine i turned the engine off and checked they were tight which they were i tryed to start it but the car wouldn't start all i was getting is a clicking noise from under the intercooler somewhere. not sure what this is ? i put some jump leads on it to see if it was the battery but it made a grinding noise instead of the clicking noise . does anyone know what this could be any help would be very appreciated.

i know uv probably sorted it now cos av seen date but its got to be starter motor as it is located under ur intercooler.it either loose or cream crackered
