a bit of R&R ...scooby style
just spent about 3 hours changing oil and filter, checking and cleaning air filter (oh and removing the oil from my MAF - from the last time i oiled the filter I guess...wont be doing THAT again!
)
changed the plugs
general cleanup around the engine bay
..oh and snapped the last of the 2 screws that were holding the washer water bottle in place
overall?...it sounds much the same but I'm sure feels a little better after its treat
and I feel a whole lot better having done summat useful to me motor

welll.........I used brake cleaner aerosol !!!
thought about it, but could see the oil on teh wire mesh in front of the MAF and decided it deffo needed doing
used it fairly sparingly and made sure it was all dried off before refitting
seems OK ......so far
