hi everyone, i have recently bought a subaru impreza gx, ive spent most the money i had on making it look a bit better, but now just wondering if anyone knows of any ways of making the 2.0 non turbo anyquicker, the only mods ive done to the engine etc are borla headers, after burner full exhaust system, and a panel filter, i know most of you will just think why spend this much money on the non turbo but the insurance is unreal for me at my age and still is pretty high on this, if anyone on here knows of any mods or where i could get maybe different cams or super chip for this would be great, also any views on the overall look of the car would be great, the exterior is basically finished now just waiting for the new black 18" team dynamics wheels to turn up this week and maybe lowered havent decided yet, thanks Tony

 

the only way of getting your car as quick as it looks is a nitro kit, but lots of money, not an expert but i got one fitted to a 2.2 vectra sri and had to get gasket upgrade overwise it would blow original. Not sure if you can do it to a gx though

Mine started life as a gx, pretty much the same as yours,...exhaust, bonnet wheels..

then boom, full sti 8 conversion.

Was it worth it? No, performance is unreal, cost is unreal, hassle is unreal.

stick to having a reliable, slow, affordable car!

Thing with the N/A scoob's is...they just get louder! no real performance gains

 

Brakes and suspension are the way forward on an n/a.
