Will UK dealers take an import in P/X

I dont know if this thread has been done before , but im a fairly new member .
Does anyone know if a UK dealer has taken an import in part exchange at all , and if so did they pay a lot less for it

i would have thought that given the current car market even a jap import would be considered in p/x by at least some dealers.
although i expect they'll offer you a much lower price than you'd expect the car to be worth.

You should get a P/X on any import - Japanese or EU - but dont expect much by way of comparison with an unmolested UK spec model ... the UK spec car will always command the top money (and dont mess about with it either!! 
)

Most dealers will sell straight on to an import specialist and have no intrest in the car.Import specialists nedd at least a 3 grand cushion on a car of around 14 to 20 grand so a dealer will offer you buttons. better off selling private or trading in for a new import or uk spec to a import dealer as they usually sell uk cars too,if you want a new car then youll just have to take big dive if you cant sell private.

I BOUGHT MY CAR TO ENJOY IT!!!!!

If your so money concious why dont you sell up and by a gippo caravan and a fu##in mobility scooter and stay at home thinking how much money you`ve saved!!!!!

We sold two three month old Peugeot 206 GTI's and bought two new MY00's in July. Took a big hit on the Pug's but don't care cos they were crap and the Scoobs are fun!!
When we sell the Scoobs, will get whatever we get for them and that's that!!
