YES I MADE A DECISION !

The Scooby is going on Wednesday to be replacd by a Lotus Elise 1.8

I have allways wanted a soft top and I want wheelspin and oversteer back in my life! The main reason is my Scoob is getting long in the tooth, and I will get a company car within 2-4 months. I have a garrage and only drive 3 miles to work anyway. I dont think the Elise is better or worse than a Scooby, just a totally different experiance. If I start to do lots of miles in all condition like I did before then I will go back to the Scooby fold, but untill then its Suntans and Totty all the way!!

I have loved having a scooby, done 2 track days at Wroughton in the rain (Pete Croney crashed his scooby) and Anglesey where I gave a TVR a half lap gap and still got stuck behind it half a lap later!!!. My mates who all have qucik cars allways smile at the way the Scooby gobbles up the miles at mach 4 with 4 up and a load of golf kit!

I will stay on Scoobynet and may post a list of all the bills I had for the last 3 years just for info!!

I will also miss the chaps at powerstation who have looked after it for the last 18months and done a danm good job (get bumpsteer mod done NOW if you have not allready )

So thats it.... will it stop raining soon!!!!!!

Thumbs up

Good choice mate, I'm hoping to do something similar when I have the funds to run a family car as well.

Stick around on the BBS!

All the best,

Simon.

Am in the lucky position to have a P1 and an exige both are fantastic cars. Before the exige I had 2 s1 elise's a std car and a 111S both were great cars you will really enjoy it , in the dry at least.
