I am looking seriously at doing the Cannonball run in October
Is anybody else going or has anybody any views before I part with my money?

Exclamation

I would be very wary of paying up front. The paperwork I recieved stated that you must pay by cheque. It does not mention ATOL or ABTA, so no money back on that front. Thus I would only pay by credit card. Even if you entered now and paid the 25% deposit, you could lose that as it would be more than 6 months ago when it gets to october and you try and get anything from the credit card co.

Be careful.

Cost 2000 + the dreaded for car & 2 drivers, extra drivers 700 each, this includes all ferries, hotels, evening meals etc
Having said that, London to Monte Carlo & back through 11 countries in 6 days, several race tracks to play on, nearly 3000 miles through Europe including some autobans where their is no speed limit, pre arranged parties most nights. Sounds a good blast, have spoken to the organisers & 3 Scoobies already booked on, one I believe is scandinavian + one clown going in an ice cream van, obviously not a race, set your own pace & have fun
