Best to get a gauge and know for sure then, rather than guessing and possibly spending money on a mod not necessary for your application.

I have a Mocal oil cooler, it's placed in front of the radiator and behind my FMIC.

Doesn't the rad and to some extent the oil cooler suffer from a lack of cold air feed with a great big IC in front of them..?

OP with regards to the temps you're seeing on the road, 90c at WOT in top isn't to bad, but 70c around town is too low really. Oil only starts to work properly at around 80c..!

Obviously temps on track will be higher.

If you do go for one make sure it's thermostatically controlled and remember that changing engine oil will require oil cooler core to also be drained..!

What scoob is it BTW (haven't looked at your VMS, sorry..)..? Newage cars run ~10c hotter than classics or some reason.

Finally, std scoobs do have a water to oil warmer/cooler that's quite effective BTW..!

My oil temp. is 85c on the highway when I drive normal. When I drive faster like 150 mph+ it will raise to 95c.

On track it will go for 95c till 100c. Maybe not super effective, but slighty better than it was.

Thumbs up

partyondude, your oil cooler looks quite close to your headers which I noticed are unwrapped. When not on the move would you not suffer from raised oil temps due to this. May be worth wrapping them and relocating the cooler to the right.

Love the Perrin FMIC, did you have to butcher your front bumper?

That is a good one, sharp observation.

Maybe it's worth a try, I will change the oil in a short period of time and then we have to take out the cooler off course. So, we can try to relocate it then.

The Perrin fits really perfect! No cutting on the chassis, but the bumper is a hell of a job. If you look carefully you can see it's not very nice done, because first I had a very ****ty Hybrid FMIC and we adapted the bumper on that one.

The Perrin costs twice as much, but fits like a glove! With the ultra low dollar it's interesting now, check GRUPPE-S
