I recently bought said fog lamp covers from HT autos and i am wondering do you need to remove the fog lamps for good when i fit them or just to mount the bracket? Also i bought the HT autos bug splitter. Any bod have this fitted/pics?

same as paul. they fit nice and tight in the holes in the bumper already

I've test fitted the original Subaru ones I got off Ebay and they fit nice and snug without the mounting kit.
I've just filled in the mounting hole and they're ready for spraying now. Fog lights are staying in , got some covers 'cause in nearly 3 years I've never used them and I seem to remember they cost a fortune if they get cracked?

So you guys didnt use the mounting brackets at all just clliped them in? You not worried they fall off? lol Yeh i never use the fog lamps and the cost something in the region of 100+VAT from subaru!

if I remember correctly I did have to fit the brackets first. Bit of a fiddly job trying to position them behind the foglights, with the bulbs still in place. Definitely required though, otherwise the covers will fall off (I'm talking about the STI ones here)

Fitted mine with the brackets and the fog lights still in place behind. Nice snug fit, but a little fiddlely to fit.
