Default headlight help needed....

...turned on the lights to go out this eve and i have no headlights. sidelights ok. main beam ok but no lights dipped. both sides at same time...weird. is it possible both bulbs have blown dipped filaments at same time?? (they are H4 dual filament bulbs i think)

I suppose it could be possible, although somewhat unlikely. Have you taken either of the bulbs out yet to have a look? another option could possibly be a fuse. I`m unsure if high and low beam have seperate fuses off hand.

South Norfolk now I see mate, got to be better than living on the rock

gonna look at bulbs in the morning in daylight.....seems weird for both to go unless one popping surged and popped the other.....

Wink

Quite likely to be both bulbs, it's been reported on here more than once.
When testing the bulb, DO remove it, don't touch the glass, and use a short length of wire to flash it across the battery on BOTH terminals to check both filaments, one at a time.

IIRC, the filaments aren't fused "Dip" and Main", but "RH" and "LH".
