Hi everyone does anyone know what the difference is between the impreza Sti Type R and the RA versions other than the number of doors. Thanks

 

Depends on the age, the V-Limited models are virtually identical apart from number of doors.

Over the standard STi RA they have uprated front and rear diffs, Group N quickshift boxes (MY99 MY00 I think), electric pack and the usual V-Limited features.

what type of things do u need to know engines arethe same group n gearbox on both type r more severe gearing.

 

The gearing is the same on both, mechanically they are the same. The differences are the number of doors.
The STi Ra only comes in white (with the exception if it is a V-Limited/Limited, then it's blue. And the v5 or 6 is available in yellow also).

STi Ra has no, electric windows, mirrors, central locking, rear wiper, side skirts, lower spoilers. Because of this it is slightly lighter (~10-20Kg).

The STi Ra has a roof vent. (Only a V-Limited/Limited type R would have that).

As said above about the V-Limited (and Limited) models.
