Default Scooby Newbie!

Hello All,

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Mike, 18 years from the Didcot, Oxfordshire area. Just bought a Red 1994 Impreza Turbo 2000 from "Huxley".

Yes, I'm the owner of the car, and yes I'm also the policy holder of my insurance, and yes I'm paying a F*****G lot of money to insure it. I've already been pulled over because they thought I'd nicked it, im sure thats something im going to have to get used to, dont think the copper could quite believe it when i produced legal docs! hehe! :P

And before someone comments, I'm not your typical 18 year old halfords "rude boy", I'm pretty mature and know that my new car could kill me or others. I've been driving a Focus 1.8 LX since May 2007 and managed not to add any MDF Spoilers to it! :P

The scooby scares me s**tless and I don't think I'll ever cain it to its full potential!

Just thought I'd pop in to say hello, i've already been flashed by a few scoobys in the didcot area.

Mike

thanks for your welcomes, the insurance is £3799 fully comp, ive been driving 10 months and turn 19 next month.

Not sure what the powerman1 posts are all about, but this is my 1st subaru, I've been registered on here a while, I put up a petition a few years back to save world rally radio when they went off air, also raised some money for cancer research uk in memory of Burnsie.

But this is a post to say, I now own a Subaru Impreza!

I'll upload some pics tommorow!

Thanks
Mike

well id rather you were paying an obscene amount like the above rather than lying to us and your insurers by just being a named driver on another policy.

too many young uns are doing that unfortunately.

good on you fella, and lets have some piccies

Cheers, it's worth being on your own policy from a young age, better for the future. I started my insurance as a named driver on my mums policy from my 17th birthday, so when I turned 18 I had 1 year named no claims with Direct Line, I can't carry this across to another company, how ever I did save myself 30% in my 2nd year on my own policy.

I'll upload some better ones when I use a digital camera, these camera phone photos do it no justice!

Well done fella.

Wow, £3800 for insurance, but hey, if you can afford it, why not.

Just try not to get goaded into racing until you're familiar with the car. Other than that, enjoy it!
