apparently, due to too few numbers.
Didn't hear it from Stef, but he is apparantly trying to contact people that were expecting to go.

I suspect it's down to the usual problem; everyone being up for it, but when it actually comes to committing and putting cheques in the post, people are a let-down.

Ok, just called Stef, it IS back on for 09 Feb - providing there are enough numbers.
Speaking selfishly, on my own behalf, and not on Stef's - if the 25 or so people that promised to go tomorrow and didn't pay are able to go on the 9th Feb; if you would be so kind as to pay up then it won't be cancelled again thus spoiling it for us that DID want to go and DID pay promptly....

Also people who say they are going but don't pay up (an I know some people have extenuating circumstances) put the club in a difficult situation. It also undermines all the good work Stef does for all the members in setting up these events.

I'll give it till 6 for an official response then go on the ****, fully expecting my money to be refunded. That's got to be fair enough in anyones books. It's my birthday weekend for gawds sake.

Stef just called me - it's definitely off tomorrow, but should be back on for Feb 9th provided enough people actually pay up.
Only 10 people paid for tomorrow's event. Personally I'm inclined to agree with Dave's view on that.
Hope to see you all in a couple of weeks though!
Andy.

I guess to make it simple, wouldnt it be easier to only confirm you when your cheque arrives and then stef can sayd how many places are available. If it is over subscribed with cheques then he can put people down for the next or return/destroy cheques.
Just an idea,
Chrisp

Crisp,
A good idea, then it would't get cancelled at the last minute b*ggering up peoples weekends because some idiots say they are going and then don't pay up. Either you are going and pay or you are not, make your mind up!!!!!!!!(if you've got one).

So does this mean that there are now spaces available. I'd be up for it and my cheque book is not a Pirelli one (ie it doesn't bounce although it does still get slippery when wet)

It's out . Can't you see it from there?
Only issue I have is my car is in for a "review of the brakes". So it going to depend on what the nice men from IM say. I'll either have no brakes to speak of or I'll be out for the next week trying to bed in the new discs.
I still don't know much of the routine - do we use our own cars a lot on this event or do we get to thrape prodrive's? Also, who do I thrust my wad at? Stef or the Sidc shop or what? While you're at it , could you pick up my dry cleaning and walk the dog. Ta muchly
