Default Help needed regarding import Impreza Wagons

Hi All newby here!

I'm thinking of buying my first Subaru but need info on what the situation is regarding import WRX wagons and insurance.

Do you get hammered with extra costs regarding getting the car to UK road spec and if we were to buy a WRX from an owner second hand will there be import fees/costs to be paid although the car has been run in the UK?

I've loads of questions on this issue but I thought I'd start off with the main concern.

Thanks

Sarah

Hi Sarah

Welcome to scoobynet

as for the importing thing.

if you can find one thats already been imported theres nothing else to pay on it, id personally suggest that as a better route to importing your own car, but if you decide to go that route pm gc8 he can help you.

insurance is slightly more for imports but its not that much of a difference and the spec is usually loads better so it compensates.

once you have one sorted ring gary moulson at keith michaels insurance and say that I recommended him (may or may not help ) he comes on here and drives an impreza.

good luck.

James

I have recently purchased a Wrx Wagon Import and the insurance with Swinton was £900 and then I called Keith Michaels and they managed to get it for £500 fully comp witch was pretty good.

Mine was already imported, I have had no issues with the car since getting it.

Cracking cars the wagons.

Enjoy.

Matt.

Biased obviously but wagons are a very good choice,in wrx form they offer more goodies than the uk versions, more power to start with too,see above for insurance optins,A-plan are another to try, nearly three years with mine and not one regret since buying it.......
