Default locking wheelnuts

my brother has lost the locking nut to his mondeo. does anyone know how to get a locking nut out, can we just attack it with a stud extractor?, it is the one with a curvy looking spline pattern. cheers

Stud extractor? just take it to a tyre fitters as they'll be able to get it off, although it will be destroyed. Then you'll just have to buy a new set of locking nuts. Alternatively if you have a tool that will grip it seriously tight you could try turning it yourself.

Get socket that just a little smaller than the outside of locking nut. then hit the socket over lOCKING NUT with a hammer. Splines will grip it, use the Tee bar on the Socket to undo it. easy peasy

nip to halfords and ask for a wheel nut removal set - 2 universal sockets with reverse threads - about £10
