Smile Fly away!

Hey guys & gals

Happy Valentines Day Guys!

I was just wondering if anyone of you knows whether you have to change the flywheel when you change the clutch?

Cheers xx

Thanks for your reply. I was told that Subaru reccomend that when you change the clutch you should change the fly wheel. I think I have a release bearing gone as when I put the clutch to the floor there is a horrible griding noise & when pulling away in low gears there is a strange rattle for a min, really strange! I was looking into how much a clutch was & I have been quoted £1,000 with, clutch, flywheel & labour!! Have no idea if that is good or bad!

See an add on ebay for a clutch supplied and fitted by a garage for a subaru for £350 think £1000 is a bit much.

No, but get it skimmed at the very least.

It can be handy to have one which is already ready if you are in a rush.

It is a good opportunity to go for a new lighter forged flywheel though (£195 instock)

Dont pay anymore than around £200 for fitting.
