what is the device the arrow is and what does the pipe with the circles do ??

note the pipe with the circles goes into a small hole in the resonator of the airbox but was already or broke during service so super glued it back on but not sure what its for.

 

Boost solenoid. The pipe that's came off may have a restrictor in it, so don't remove it.

 

it broke the bit on the resonator box and wouldnt glue back on strong. so i had to drill a slightly larger hole in the box to fit a bit of pipe i found stuck the pipe in the drilled hole glued in place then put the other end in the pipe (AS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURE) with the restrictor in !!! all seems well i hope

this pipe wouldnt be connected though would it if i had an induction kit there ?
