Back box opinions please!
My WRSport backbox has developed a small hole so my options are have it welded or fit a new box.
I have ported headers and sti up pipe with hayward and scott decat DP, 2nd decat and de resonated centre pipe. Car has been remapped etc.
Should I just stick with the WRSport?
or
What are peoples opinions on back box options? I have a list below:
Scoobyworld afterburner
Blitz NUR
TSL Firestorm or Ti Phoon
Racebox
STI genome
I know the first three will give a change in noise over my prodrive but would be interested in peoples experience of the Racebox as there is one available at a good price second hand. I can also get hold of a genome for £200
Cheers

I can recommend the Blitz NuR Spec R, yes it's loud but you do get a bung and I think it sounds awesome with or without it. The Spec S has just been fitted by 53WRX here should you want to hear one in action...

If it's an everyday car, i'd avoid the likes of the afterburner and blitz.
The racebox is supposed to be good, aswell as the H&S scoobysport design.

The Blitz and the Genome are head and shoulders above the others listed in terms of quality.
Uber loud exhausts are not for me
..So the Genome it is then

More choices than that mate.
I would look at these too...
Links that you might like...
Roger Clark Motorsport - RCM Product Detail

Quieter Blitz RX - beautiful quality !
Blitz UK: Products > Exhausts > Nur Spec-RX > 68117 - JDM
Also the TSL Group N
TSL MOTORSPORT | Subaru Saab Mitsubishi | parts | repair | servicing | performance tuning | UK
The Blitz 's' is noisey and I wouldn't run it without your centre resonator still in place unless its a weekend play thing like mine.

Don't dismiss any backbox until you have experienced it in person. Just because one member says they ain't a fan, shouldn't let it influence your decision.
I have had the Blitz (R), Afterburner and Ninja.
The Blitz is the daddy in all respects. The build, fitment, appearance and the sound track is all amazing. My car is a family runner and daily commuter and the Blitz stays.
The afterburner is overpriced IMO. It is not very well built in comparison to Jap spec exhausts but sounds and looked ok.
The Ninja seemed better built than the Afterburner and was a good alrounder but a little tame for me.
Certainly don't rush into anything, do your research.

Thanks bob, it is a bit of a minefield though. Was originaly going for the blitz nur but there are too many bodged classics driving around my local area with them along with dv's, tints and bodged fmic's. Not saying there is anything wrong with these mods or the car itself as I love seeing loads of scoobs on the road but its the idiots behind the wheel that are upsetting the karma with the local fuzz. Friend of mine has a weekend 400bhp sti. At work he drives a nice white merc with flashy blue lights! If you know what I meen. He says that the problem just now is the amount of idiots driving classic imports and not so much the newage drivers but the problem is the reputation they are giving the scoobs due to the constant over revving with loud exhausts. The reason for the racebox or genome is to get away from the norm and have something that sounds nice, performs well and aint gonna attract the wrong kind of attention.

In which case stick with the WRSport or a nice scooby sport from H&S
I really like these on a classic ...
Stainless exhausts manifolds headers

I've had TSL Firestorm, and now have their Group N b.b.
First is big and loud, the second is quiet and classy, but still fruity on acceleration, a pal has just got a WR b.b. for his bug-eye so will try and get a listen on Sunday...

Purchased the racebox for £100 so will stick it on to see how it looks and sounds. Will get the wr box repaired and polished up then decide which one to keep.
