Default STI oil use

Hi all, I've got an MY 06 spec D, and see that the instruction manual reccomends that the oil is checked every tank of fuel. It said the same in my S2000 manual, but that car didn't use any.

Do they use oil?

Also, there seems to be a fair bit of steam (not smoke) and water in the exhaust, is this ususal?

Thanks

Steam, yes that is usual. I got that with mine on the std exhaust - think it is to do with the cats.

Oil useage has never been an issue with mine except on track (which is now solved) but I do know that some people see oil useage on the 2.5. Would be worth checking just to be sure.

Thanks

Also - I've just checked the tyres and the pressures are supposed to be 1.9bar rear and 2.2 front, that's about 28psi (seems low) on the rear and 32 on the front?

thats sounds about right for the pressures, maybe put the rears up a touch but only to 30psi.
