Default WRX STI Prodrive 2002

Hi all. My road back to Scoobydom is almost complete (At least pretend like you give a monkeys ).

Went to see a lovely Prodrive styled Bugeye this evening. Not only looked good (by far the best looking bug eye ive seen) but also sounded awsome as it was decatted with a Vortex backbox (are they meant to be good?). I know I would need to get it onto a rolling road but what BHP would that be knocking out? Im estimating about 285 - 290? Either way it felt much more pokier than the standard STI that I drove yesterday.

I will get some pics up ASAP if I buy. Heres to outrageous petrol consumption and crippling insurance premiums.

Cheers for reading and all the best.

Did it have PPP fitted? If so around 290-300 BHP

If its standard then around 265 ish....

Maybe 280 with decat & Zorst...

No PPP pack mate. Just Decat and zorst. I was of the intention of getting it done after driving my mates standard 02 STI but having been out in this I dont think ill bother. It certainly felt a lot quicker than my previous WRX which was knocking out 270bhp.

May just get a re-map a few months down the line depending on how quickly I get used to the speed of it.

Thanks

Mine's had the benefit of a re-map to get to 340 bhp.... pulls to the red line now, and low speed pick-up is stronger too.
Do it, soonest !
Honest, the fuel is going in anyway....

Enjoy !

As above, If its been mapped for the de-cat 330-340. If it hasent the be very carefull as the have a tendancy to boost spike quite badly

Mine was fine for two years, except for a CEL light for a non-existent cat....

My JDM STI7 flies with 298hp, just a panel filter and back box changed. Ought to get it remapped and de-catted at sound point but it scares the **** out of me as it is !!

Good choice, great cars and real good value too and they look fine with the STI headlights as standard over the WRX (ie small spotlamps and no tango!!)
