Brecks main dealer in York has an 03 car with 45k up for £10995. Look on Subaru-Used Cars for an idea. You can also use this as fuel to increase whatever first offer they make. Best of luck and shame your first post was a sad one...

One of the really sad things is that 90% of the cars passing the accident will have assumed the Scoob driver to have been at fault.

Thanks a lot, media

Best of luck with the claim, mate.

OUCH| That's a nasty one, i hope your ok mate, its always a shame to see a really nice motor wrecked, but it can be replaced, not much comfort i know but as long as your alright that's the main thing, as for price I'm sorry to say i think £11k is probably about the max you will get (if that) not a lot considering the condition and mileage of yours.

Thanks for all the replies Guys, My back is in agony at the moment but told its just musculer and will pass.

I think with the impreza weighing nearly 2 ton the other car just bounced off me into a field stopping me dead and crushing my chest on the seatbelt

Don;t know where you got the 2 tons bit from, aren;t the newage cars about 1400kg..??? they'd need a shed load more power to be as swift as they are if they weighed in at 2 tons!!!

Glad you're not too badly hurt!!!

**** man .... thats bad. You are OK and thats the main thing!

I'm guessing the initial Insurance offer will be around £8500 - which you will turn down ..... from there it will be hard bargaining to get up to the £10,000 you should be entitled to.

They are good solid cars to be in if things do go **** up. There are plenty of mint examples out there, so just work out when you get the settlement whether you are better off taking a cash settlement to source your own replacement. If you get £11k you will be doing exceedingly well. Good luck.

Get as many copies of similar cars for sale at main dealers (Autotrader online..?) of >£10k and send them off to insurance co..

As said they'll likely start at something silly like 7-8k..!

They do this, as believe it or not some people except the first offer..!

Condolences mate. Glad you're ok. My advice would be to get adverts of similar cars that people are asking decent money for as evidence for your claim. The insurance will always try and get away with offering bottom dollar. Tell em politely that you will not accept and come back with one of your own with supporting documentation!

Blimey. Good luck chap, at least you are ok. With the various accidents and reports we've had on here in the last few days it shows it's a good car to be in if the worst happens.

8500 in 4 years though?? How?!

5t.
