AVC-R is more than just a guage mate; it's an electronic boost controller. You'd really need it set up by Bob I'd imagine! I wouldn't fiddle around with the boost after that!

I was thinking of getting one of these myself to be fitted in conjunction with an ECUTEK map tweek when I get my front mount for my MY99. I was considering it for two reasons 1) I'm REALLY fed up with the drive by mode, and I understand AVCR will stop the ECU doing this!
2) I understand the AVCR gives you in gear boost compensation features so will result in more go in the lower gears, which, if I understand it correctly, don't reach the boost levels achieved in the higher gears.
Oh, and
3) A boost guage etc would be nice!

Any advice also appreciated!

What about a PSI3? There's plenty of info in there.

Otherwise i'd get some Defis. Deffo recommended. I feel i know what's going on now and you actually know when the engine is up to temp. Love the record function. (which is good as you need your eyes on the road )
