My nearside front tyre is nearly bold on the outside edge,4000 miles toyo T1 the offside one is fine but still wearing quicker on the outside edge, my last scoob wore out the inside edges quicker. Is this just down to the tracking or is there some other probable cause?

I suffered from uneven tyre wear, but not as serious as yours. It was picked up at the service and the guys checked the tracking and found that it was way out. Since then, not noticed any further uneven wear. Certainly worth checking this as a first step. Not sure of the wear rates on Toyo T1s but what you described definitely sounds excessive.

Cheers

Could well be your tracking is out - does the car pull to the 'worn tyre' side at all?

other possibilities - wear in the suspension/steering, bent chassis (would/should drive badly anyway!)

Track days!

Milton Keynes roundabout syndrome.

Was the tracking done when the tyres where fitted and how did the previous set wear?

I need a pair for the front, exactly same problem as above...

I found that increasing the pressures to 36 psi on front (34 rear) helped. Also, swap front to back regularly. I have 17" wheels with Prodrive settings.
