I thought the type-r thread contained some good advice for both commercial organisations and their cutomers. Surely the mods could have edited out some of the crap / trolling posts and left the good stuff. Maybe its just been taken off line for a tidy and will be back <hopes>.

She was probably at a loose end after the dishes and ironing were finished so to relieve the boredom she got trigger happy and started to remove some threads

AndyF's thread lasted about 20 minutes, I only saw it as I was surfing from work LOL
It was about a fellow SNetter allegedly using two account names and pretending to be two different people.

What I find particularly ironic it that the mods allow 17 pages and nearly a 2 month witch hunt and plead ignorance,
I quote webmaster-
“We're not mind readers + It isn't fair to slag us off when we had no knowledge of this thread in the first place.”
How can this be so when
1.This thread was one on the hottest topics for 17 pages and 2 months
2.A mod did threaten to close it when Zen (a paying contributor, surprise surprise) was wrongly accused of being the garage in question. – so the mod team WERE AWARE.
Again when webby states “no knowledge of that thread” it seems strange that when a thread questioning the integrity of the admin staff and whether there is one rule for paying contributors and another for non paying that thread runs precisely for 2 days before a terse response is issued and the thread is locked.
Seems their on the ball when their own actions are questioned!!!!!!

At the end of the day... If anyone feels a thread is wrong then you should report it using the
Webmaster doesnt see all the threads... There was talk of a mod threatening to close the thread because a certain company was involved and then didnt because that company was cleared... Well if that was the case also, and I didnt see it, then report it in the same way and with your reasons..
How many posts a day? I have enough problems keeping up with one section of SNET never mind all of it. You can help webmaster to help you by telling him what you are unhappy about. The best place for this would of been policy
Ive stuck my neck out because I know how it works, dont slate me for trying to help

Threads are voted on by the comunity. One person's view cannot change a post's rating; this requires a number of different members to rate the post negatively.
Basically, what it means is that the parts of the community that have expressed a view so far, haven't thought much of your post. Some may come along and rate it positively which would revert it back to neutral or promote it to positive status.
And just because a post is infracted does not mean it has to receive an unwanted rating; it is possible for the community to support a post, but for it to be infracted -the two systems are independent.
Hope this helps

One is by the 'rate this thread' at the bottom of the thread. You either vote thumbs up or thumbs down ... after a few have voted either way, you can only vote once and you cannot vote on your own posts, then the rating will change for that thread.
Infractions - this is a little less subtle ... some people bite and infract some dont.. its a personal thing. Only Webbie and Moderators can see who has issued infractions.
Taken from a post by Webmaster in Policy
Only one infraction may be given per post. This means a user must repeat offend.. they cannot be banned, simply by posting one thing which is against the rules.
Infractions may only be given for specific reasons, set by the administrators. These reasons are Trolling, Being offensive / abusive to other members, Racism, Spamming, and Abuse of the infraction system. Infractions given for posts which do not fall into these categories will be reversed, and the user who gave them will potentially receive and infraction if we feel this was not simply a mistake.
With these measures in place, it is HIGHLY unlikely that the infraction system could be abused, unless someone has far more money than sense, and gets pleasure out of paying money to give people infractions, and attempt to cause havoc, until they are simply banned themselves. If they do, we'll have their name, address and contact details to fall back on, should we need to prosecute.
You could also take a look at this https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...olicy-faq.html as it will answer a few of your questions. '
