Default Scoobs in crashes

Ive seen some big accidents on here recently and the cars seem to of stood up really well. is there any particular reasonfor this? i noticed a fairly substantial bar behind the dash on my my97. what other safety features are built in other than airbag? Im more bothered now as its my only car an ive got a 3 month old baby to carry round!

well put it this way, friend of mine was involved in a serious smash over the weekend, all 4 in the cupra that lost it on a bend and wiped her out, head on, died, her and her passenger have survived.

most serious injury was a torn liver, other than that broken bones, bruising and few cuts and thats the worst of it.

while injuries arn't good, just shows how strong the scoob is compared to other cars.

o it was a version 2 or 3 wrx, so nocking on 10+ years old now

Saw that a few days back.
Was going to ask how they were
Glad that the physical injuries are not TOO bad.
Hope they recover quickly
