How much more is a PPP STi worth over the standard STi?
Hopefully someone can help me out as I’ve failed to get any useful info from the Parkers Guide (paper or web) or even the Glass’s Guide online site, neither of which have the PPP listed….
The PPP cost ~£2k as a kit fitted by a Subaru dealer, but on the 2nd hand market, how much extra is a PPP’d STi worth over the “standard” STi? Looking for a MY02 or MY03 to narrow down the question a bit.
Any info gratefully received

£500 - £1000 depending on the car/certification. On that age of car the primary focus should be on getting a good STi regardless of PPP as this can easily be added for the difference in value.
£1000 buys you the same or more than the PPP power. I dare say with SIDC/Dealer discounts a plenty you could get PPP for near that figure too.

If you are talking about just the PPP engine performance upgrades, then not much more than £250 IMO if that. You might pay a little more for the 18" prodrive wheels if fitted.
In fact I found the PPP equipped cars were better priced, for the simple reason that they 'tend' to left standard, whereas the non PPP cars have mostly been upgraded by the enthusiastic owner, and he expects he can just add the price of his mods on top of the cars value.
The car I bought, the owner hardly remembered the PPP kit added, as her husband haggled it as part of the deal new from Subaru. They were both under the impression that most UK Sti's had the PPP anyway, so priced accordingly. So in my case it didn't add a penny.

At most on my WRX PPP's that I've traded in its made a few hundred pounds difference tops. Having said that if youre prepared to bargain with the dealers the PPP needn't cost the list price anyway......
