DUMP VALVE
#1
Hello again,
Does anyone know if an atmospheric dump valve is more effective than a recirclulating one.
How much air is stored in the recirc valve and is it enough to keep the turbo spinning effectively?
Cheers,

I assume we're talking about scoobs here.
Both types of BOV's fill the exact same function, release boost when throttle is backed off, letting the turbo spin freely.
An external BOV will mess with (a stock ECU's) air/fuel mixture, since it's letting measured air out of the closed loop system - making the car run rich on lift off.
Go for a recirc one, and if you'd like the sounds, get an induction kit.
