Default Newbie Seeking advice

Hey im new to this whole Subaru Scene, i jumped over from a Nissan Pulsar GTiR a few weeks back, and put the Subaru Into hibernation for the winter

this is her

Anyways, i took it for a run yesterday, which resulted in a cloud of black smoke pouring out the bonnet vents. Opened it up and the smoke was lurking in and around the turbo heat shield area. So looks like some oil could be lurking within it, so ordering another turbo on thursday (£300+).

Anyways, im looking for any advice on Imprezas that anyone can possibley give, oils to use, etc etc

Thanks in advance

yeh the rocker cover gasket is leaking, need to get that repaired as well as a sheered wheel nut. But the turbo makes a whining noise when you rev her up a bit, done it since i got it home. I thought it was a pully at first, but been advised its the turbo thats away.

i feel so stupid, but i know jack about these engines, they are confusing just to look at.

you dont really find that theres any problems with the turbos on impreza's,im not saying they never have a problem but you just dont hear about it much so i imagine its not a common problem, unlike the rocker cover gaskets which is a common problem espically the one on the turbo side of the car.
i got both mine done at subaru for around £100/£120.
