standard jdm sti8 turbo

guys just need to know what the above turbo is

am i right in thinking it is the vf37 twin scroll?

I think the 03/04 JDM is a VF36 and on 05 they changed to VF37 iirc

they were the twin scroll units?

which without a lot of messing around they do not fit on to a 99 uk classic

VF36 and VF37 are essentially the same turbo. VF37 is a journal bearing turbo, VF36 is a roller bearing unit. VF37 is fitted to standard JDM STI's, VF36 is fitted to the Spec C. There is a variant, the VF42, which is still a twin scroll roller bearing turbo but features a larger compressor housing and re-designed compressor wheel and is only fitted to ltd ed cars, namely the S203, S204 and Spec C RA-R.
