Default Santa Pod

Saw a few Scoobs at pod today

Ran the Scoob at pod today (STI 8). First event of year so track not great but pleased with times to build on. Car needs another RR but it's around 315-320bhp mark I believe.

Started day with a 15.2 which wasn't great bogged on line best time ended with 13.7 (twice)

Basically had around 11 runs thought I had more at end but 11 slips is all I have.

1.) 15.2 (2.9 sec 60ft time )
2.) 14.9
3.) 14.6
4.) 9.8 ? <---- not sure what happened but obviously wrong
5.) 14.3
6.) 14.3

Then I changed from Bailey BOV to standard Recirc DV

7.) 13.7
8.) 13.7
9.) 13.9
10.) 13.8
11.) 14.2

With times not getting closer to 13.7 called it a day.

So all in all, car performs better without Bailey BOV, i'm happy with times even though launch was crap pretty much on all runs.

I think mine is the DV12 which isn't twin piston.

It's only a 2 min switch so would be worth running it with both and seeing if there is a difference. I ran 5 on each and all were quicker with standard Recirc.

so just to be 100% clear.... bov will make ur car slower??

if thats the case then il not bother buying one and just get an uprated standard equipment. u think thats best??

I'm not a tech guru and won't pretend to be but I driving the car feel it is slower not just in the mind it literally feels slower and now i'm confirmed it with my times.

Maybe just my car?

My quickest 60ft was a 2.0 which still isn't great. I've much better launches on my other cars. I've found with a Scoob best launch technique for my car is to almost slip the clutch to keep the power on, however as this was my first time running Scoob I didn't want to do this and hurt my clutch.

I was shifting around 7,000rpm as well

I've something to build and improve on now.
