Thats handy, I live in Somerset, about 30 miles away. How much does a remap cost (04 wrx ppp) I've just had a decat downpipe fitted, would it be worthwhile having a remap on a ppp? Mick.

Well, what a day!
Having driven from Notts to get there and then sitting on the A419 'car park' for 45 mins, i finally arrived late and away Bob went. He found the wrx restrictor in the pipe which was promptly replaced by the sti one. Then having answered some of my silly questions he rigged his gear up and away we went! Although next time Bob, i am not into the country lane rivers that used to be roads!
Anyway i digress, the upshot of which is close to 340 bhp and similar torque and one stupid daft grin on my face! Didnt really notice much whilst mapping as i was too busy looking at traffic and holding 1 bar. lol.
I will post up the delta dyno run as soon as Bob emails it to me tomorrow.
We managed to do 3 runs for the delta so it was accurate.
Add in my poxy 65 kilo weight and away the computation went.
Many thanks to Bob, and others on here, Jasonius for his advice, Northern Nick for the intercooler, RCM for fitting em, and the missus for moaning my face off for daring to spend so much on the car when i wont even buy her a drink! LOL.
I want some dry weather now for sure. I have had to reset the alarm on my Defi boost gauge as it now hits that every time, i think the alarm is set to 1.5 bar, and talking to Bob they read approx. 0.1 bar too high anyway. Which fits in with what it was mapped too.
Just a little apology to Bob for not actually understanding a bloody word you said about maps, compensations and lambda! (me is thick)

Hello to 'bighead', that P1 is one nice looking motor
I would have liked to chat to you about it, but i know the mind is on the mapping and not talking to some stranger like me, LOL.
I hope all went well for you too.

Hi there MaDass was that you I spoke to
Bob could not map my car today ....because some idiot at Motec given him the wrong password/code for my ecu !! (for the close loop fuelling ).

So a wasted round trip of 200+ miles !!....will be back down again on the 23rd Feb though

if I "see" you next time we can chat some more ,
but you will be back to Bob's as 340 bhp will not satisfly you for long .............
aleast it did not for me !!

Unfortunate about your car but bloody annoying to say the least!
Like me you had a long journey, but alas you will soon be back for some fun!
I read your plus profile earlier, thats why i popped in to have a look when you pulled in Bob's garage. Sort Motec out!

Oh yes, happy i am. Aint had chance yet to blatt it here, its killing me, the missus is in project mode for the house so i have been buying wall paper and stuff. ffs i mean, cmon woman, i need a drive! LOL.
According to Bob's excellent wording, "it should just kiss 1.5 bar then hold 1.38 then drop ultimately to 1.3(ish) at the red line, your gauge reads a solid 0.1 bar over. I’m quoting my gauge figs not the Defi ones btw."
As stated above my Defi boost gauge reads 0.1 bar above the true reading, and so based on that alone my old map only reached a true 1.3 bar tops!
Attached is the Delta Dyno graph.

Looks good, but 1590kg? Unless you and bob weigh in at 100kg each?

Fuel has to be taken into account, did you have quite a bit of fuel in tank..?

For instance, mine weighed in at 1540kg, but I only had just over 1/4 tank of fuel..!

The DD figures are very realistic, as accurate as any RR in fact if used correctly..

It's supprising what a different mappers can produce, eh Mada..?

I think i had at least half a tank of fuel yeah by the time i had got there. Or maybe just under half. lol.
Some difference though eh jason?
Tbh, i am a little gob smacked at the torque figure. I wanted 340 ish bhp but had no real clue on torque.
Similar would have made me happy, but 357 ib/ft? wow, i need to play!
Will get out tomorrow for a proper drive after work if the weather holds out.

Cars do differ mate, 320 lbs ft is not to be sniffed at. You might get further gains by getting ported headers, loosing the induction kit, or shielding it from the hot engine bay?

Who mapped yours? That makes all the difference too!
