Question

Hi, can any one shed some light on this, i have just received a letter from the garage stating my car is now one year old and is due a body service. The cost of this will be &155, and is carried out after 1 year, 3 years and 5 years is this normal on the Impreza, and is this the average cost??

The answer is yes to both your questions, the "catch" being to keep your bodywork warranty you need to have this done - cool huh!

Basically a nice little bonus for the dealer. All they do is check the underseal and spray a little waxoyl in the body cavities.

I can't think of any other car manufacturer where you have to have this done. Maybe subaru should abolish these now they have extended the service intervals to 10K?

As said above if you don't have it done you lose your bodywork warranty.

do not pay £155. I was given a quote of £60-80 depending on how long it takes to remove crud from under the car. This was from a Subaru dealer in north London.

yeah, mine was £75 for my old forester. Obviously it will do some good for the resale value especially if you live near the beach like me. Makes the car smell like it's new too!
