Crappest Mod ??
#1
We all go on about our best mod - cheapest brake horse power increaser, or our most awesome looking rear wing and body kit.
But who has spent a fortune on something that was, well, frankly, SH1TE?????
Be it a truely horrid WRC style wing - that you simply had to rip off, or a brake kit that simply broke the bank...
Can we have a list of "dont bother with"... mods please.
I'll start with the carbon fibre smelly thing from halfords that has a fan on it that never works... oh and Broquets (sorry - could resist).

Never had a bad mod b4, I don't think, but a car I saw about a month ago must win hands down.
It was a Nova GTE, with a custom body kit (professional done must have cost proper mony) great big roof spolier with one on the bonnet to match. It was bright red (again professional paint job), the windows looked like they were tinted with bin liners, but what really set it off was the front wind screen, botton half black top half red with near foot high white letters in the red bit displaying in itailics "THE DOGS BOLLOXS".

Worst mod of the moment has to be putting blue LEDs on your windscreen washers.
If anyone can explain why people do this, I'd be impressed. The only answer I can think of is to make you look a complete nobber.

The Corsa near me that I see every night driving home. Very professional job, large bore twin pipes, lowered massive wheel, roof spoiler, pimp tint, new bulged bonnet, skirts all the way around nicely painted. The problem comes from the fact the number plate in motorbike style is only about 2 inches from the ground.
The road I drive down to get to the estate has three large speed bumps... as high as the curbs and covered in grooves.
I saw this car come up to the bumps and have to go to the other land and then approach the bump on angle to avoid grounding out, even the TVRs and Elise can get over them going straight.
So lowering you car that much when you know what the roads are like... not bright!

Dashboard switches that don't do anything - except illuminate the tell tales to say that the switches are on....
Oh, and a mate that used to have a Mk 3 Cortina with an overhead centre console, held on with elastic bands.... Mind those speed ramps.
