Default Dead Key Fob Battery

Right the spare alarm fob on my keys has run out of batteries and i left my main keys at my dads over Christmas.

It has the standard UK alarm (toad or sigma I can't remember) if i open it with my key I take it my alarm will go off? If I then pop the bonnet and disconnect the battery will I be ok?

Cheers

Keycode?

Would it be in my book?

Don't have a clue mate. I take it the keycode is a manual way to turn off the alarm/immobiliser?

Without the keycode/new battery you are not going to be going anywhere. Not unless you can disconnect your immobiliser...your local chav car thief can most probably help you there

When you got the car you should have been given the keycode you can enter on the panel in your glovebox...assuming you still have the standard alarm.

I don't remember seeing that in the glovebox...

The car isn't going anywhere (bloody blown engine) I just need to get into the boot for my tools for the morning.

^ Nah it's not for the STi it's for my UK one.

Sorted now, just went out early and got some batteries from Tesco.

Thanks for all the replies though.
