Scooby V G3 Assault Rifle

Went to the army barracks near Southport (Liverpool) today with the kids from school (carreers trip thingybob).
Done the assault course and everyfink (tough, kids gasping for breath, girlies gettin scared on the 15 foot high plank walk with gap, thngybob)......ha ha ha ha
All i wanted to do was go on the shooting range, all i got was a go in the electric range, gas powered guns shooting at a big screen thingybob.
Kept askin the squadies if there was a spare HK G3 Assault rifle knockin about, all they seemed to be interested in was the fact that the kids had told them i have a scooby.
Flood of usual questions, how fast, whats it drive like, what are the running costs, blah blah. One lad said that he was lookin to get himself a P1 (what are they paying army lads lately?).
Much fun had by all, legs are hurting now, bet there'll be a few kids absent tommorow...ha ha ha ha.

Put it this way Army Captain's can barely afford to a) buy b) run a P1, don't worry no squadie will be passing you in one anytime soon. HM Forces aint stupid, squaddies in P1s........shudder!

You don;t teach in Littleover by chance?
just noticed whilst queuing past the school this morning a silver Scooby in the car park...
If not then there is another 'Sir' or 'Miss' not marking but playing with there scoob in the evening?
