RA-R took off from back as though it had a rocket stuck up its ar$e, didnt know there was so much diffrenece in performance between the Spec-C and the RA-R TBH

S204 Wheels were optional on the ra-r. The ra-r is a very quick car there want's much difference between my old tuned type ra and my current ra-r at oulton park a few weeks ago. One thing is for sure the ra-r handles a lot better then the ra.

Best car won, the only proper sports car there. Just goes to show, it doesn't matter how much power, 4wd, electric gizmos etc. you've got, finesse, handling, everything "just so" makes the faster track cars. Oh, and it's the oldest design out there

considering the NSX costs about 60k to buy newthe RA-R gave it a good run for its money, i believe the RA-R would of had it off the line as well if it started in second place rather than last

We're all Impreza owners here so there are bound to be bias, but to be fair the NSX is one of the best Japanese 'supercars' of all time if not the best... Can similar Jap cars of that era such as the 3000GT, Supra, Skyline all truly call themselves supercars and stand with Italian Exotica on tracks?
Not to mention the fact that the NSX is only a 3.2 N/A (fancy engine gubbins aside)

why ever would you think that
,thats my point exactly, the NSX is regarded by lots of people as being a supercar and with a price of circa 60-70k there not far off of it, my point is the impreza is not a supercar, its just a sports car (although the RA-R is about the most hardcore of imprezas) the RA-R gave it a good run for its money and would have nailed it at acceleration if it had started off the line alongside it

NSX weighs about the same as a UK classic impreza: NSX type R is a tad lighter.
But out the lot; Its the only car really honed to go round a racetrack properly in pure stock form - despite the unfortunate lack of outright power: Proper suspension (no Mcpherson struts here matey), Low centre of gravity (explains why the roofline is 6" lower) thus better handling, and most importantly it's balanced (i.e no engine slung out infront the front wheels ), unlike the following saloon cars So what it loses in outright power and pace on the straights it makes up for in the twisties
I know this from personal experience

I used to do lauches like that. Was still on original clutch and gearbox too, not bad for a 10 year old car .....but shhh, don't tell the bloke who bought it off me

You can still get an Impreza spanking NSX for 15k nowadays
Not that I dont love my Scooby, go over a speedbump too fast in an NSX and bend the suspension and its CATD if your lucky.

On the contrary, it goes over speed bumps very well, and I'm not one to slow down for them...otherwise I wouldn't be going anywhere very quickly round here
Now a 3 series BMW with sports suspension though, christ now THAT's jarring.

Good vid that . Impressed with the RA-R and how it out performed the Spec C (maybe better driver in the RA-R) but not suprised by the result though. NSX is a great car but the Type R version is even greater .

The distance at the finish was pretty much the same for the whole race.
Not being biased, but had the NSX and RA-R started side-by-side, the RA-R would've finished in front. So says he.
I was surprised how:
1) the ra-r took off
2) the ra-r was so much better than the spec c
3) how the spec c kept the evo at bay very easily
The subarus are finally getting and staying in front of the evos. With the new one being no different.

the RA was impressive, but I would not say composed, looked a bit nose heavy, scrubbing the front around the bends. The NSX was much more composed on the track.
Bet the RA would leave it for dead on a back road though.
