Snap his hand off!!

It's pretty much the ultimate and must-have impreza of now.

Awesome (probably too raw for road) car.

Just register it as a STi thats what most imposters(importers) do if they use the loophole, where in reality they should have a model report for that type of car.but hey if you can get away with it,why not!!

They are going for 29995 here.

Before you make a expensive mistake, you won’t be able to register the RA-R without the correct model report for a 2006+ Impreza (of which there is only ours). As the car is classed as modified in Japan it will be missing important information from its Japanese documents.

Registering the car as a STI is not a loophole merely a mistake at the DVLA, you need a SVA certificate in the first place to go to the DVLA.

I'm afraid it is true unless you'd like to prove otherwise. We are the only company to have passed a Euro4 Model report for any of the Subaru models. Your right people/companies don't have to declare what they have done but the information is straight from VOSA. Perhaps you should contact them be for you accuse us of not telling the truth

I know of one company that claims they have a report and even have a car down at a test station but it is no where near passing.

How other people get round the rules is upto them but there is only one correct way of doing things.

I do believe there are 2 euro 4 forester reports now and that's from the horses mouth, so your information is wrong, you must be talking to the wrong people. Also I'm not saying you are not telling the truth,I am saying you have been misinformed,

Well I have just checked with VOSA techincal, as they control the whole thing, and I wouldn't want to mis-inform anyone. Unsuprisingly there is only 1 Euro4 model report for the Forester STI So I guess that makes you miss informed

you will just have to trust me on this one,I dont think the garage you are talking about would invest all that money in there cars just to leave them sitting there do you ,(Sorry) you said on another forum that they must be getting them sva,d illegally you cant do that, check with VOSA after the hols there will be a few angry customers asking why are theres a lot cheaper than yours ,the proof will be in the pudding why don't you buy one off them to see if it can be regd, you will still make money on it.happy xmas

Not sure I follow but VOSA aren't on holiday yet (i know because I just spoke to them) so I'm sure you can call them if you are that concerned or have a vested interest. As I've said before how other people choose to do business is upto them.

My original reply was to help someone avoid making a possible mistake.

The old debate rears its ugly head again I see,I will only say one think about this matter if I had 25-30k of my hard earned money to invest in a car I would make sure that all the correct paperwork was is in place before parting with my wad of cash just incase the worst case senario happens and vosa close the loophole that everybody is going on about cos pound to a penny it will happen maybe not now but maybe tomorrow and then who will be the loser......

Its all my fault, i mentioned the Model report etc, but it was as LI says, it was just to point it out that there are ways and then there are the RIGHT ways,

Nothing to do with FSTi's though.
